Step 1
The tour starts by picking up from your hotel accommodation at 16:00
- Visit the historic cathedral where the remains of General Martín Miguel de Güemes are located. It’s an important religious and historical site in Salta.
- American Cultural Center: A cultural center hosting various artistic and cultural exhibitions, showcasing regional heritage and contemporary works.
- Basílica Menor de San Francisco: A striking baroque-style church known for its tall bell tower and richly decorated interior, one of Salta’s architectural landmarks.
- San Bernardo Convent: A convent of the Carmelite order dating back to the colonial era, notable for its carved wooden door and spiritual atmosphere.
- Monument General Martin Miguel de Guemes: A monument honoring General Güemes, a key figure in Argentina’s independence. The site sits on its own, surrounded by country.
- San Bernardo’s Hill: Take a scenic ascent to this hilltop for panoramic views of Salta city. Along the way, pass the 20 de Febrero Monument, commemorating the Battle of Salta.
- San Lorenzo Summer Village: a village on the edge of the city, with its own subtropical microclimate. Includes a stop at the Artisan Market, where certified local crafts from across the province are on display.
