5 Day Bariloche and San Martin de los Andes Tour Package
Bariloche
In short
Bariloche is the centre of the Argentine Lake District: a town on Nahuel Huapi lake, ringed by forest, water and the Andes. Four days covers the Circuito Chico, a full day of trekking and an estancia stay, without ever queuing.
The town itself is a base rather than the attraction. What you come for starts about 20 minutes west, where the Circuito Chico loops past Llao Llao, the Punto Panorámico viewpoint and the chairlift up Cerro Campanario — the view most people picture when they picture Patagonia's north.
Beyond the circuit, Nahuel Huapi national park has trekking for every level, from an afternoon walk to a full day above the treeline. In winter the same mountains become Cerro Catedral, the largest ski area in South America.
Bariloche is also where an eco-estancia stay makes the most sense: full board, no crowd, and the lake at the end of the garden. It is the highest-ticket product in our Argentine catalogue for exactly that reason.
Per person, including hotels, transfers and the guided days each trip lists. International flights are never included.

Four is comfortable: one to arrive and settle, one for the Circuito Chico, one full day of trekking, and one to leave slowly. Add two more if you want to drive the Seven Lakes route up to San Martín de los Andes.
November to March for hiking, lakes and long days. June to September if you are going for the ski season at Cerro Catedral. April, May and October are quiet and cheap but many excursions run reduced schedules.
They are different Patagonias — Bariloche is forest and lakes, Calafate is steppe and ice. Most people who have four days or fewer pick one; with a week you can fly between them.
