Sunrise Hike to Pedra do Telégrafo

Wake up early for one of Rio de Janeiro’s most epic sunrise experiences! Pedra do Telégrafo has the view, and the cliff illusion everyone photographs

1. Step 1

   2:20 am – Pick-up from your accommodation:

   • Our private driver will meet you at the door of your hotel or apartment to begin the journey to the western zone of Rio
   • Drive to Barra de Guaratiba (approx. 1h 15min): Enjoy a quiet, comfortable drive through Rio as the city sleeps. Upon arrival at the trail entrance, you’ll meet your local hiking guide (optional)
   • Hike to Pedra do Telégrafo (40–60 min): Begin the moderate hike up a forested path within a protected natural area. The trail is surrounded by Atlantic rainforest and offers occasional glimpses of the ocean
   • Sunrise at the Summit: Arrive at the top in time for sunrise. From here, you’ll have an incredible panoramic view of: • Restinga da Marambaia • Praia do Perigoso • Praia do Grumari • The distant silhouette of Rio’s coastline.
   • Photos at the «Cliff» Spot: your turn for the shot that looks like you are hanging off a cliff. It is safe, and someone is there to take the picture. Optional: Snack break or local fruit vendors (not included) At the summit or along the trail, you may find locals offering fresh fruit or coconut water.
   • Hike back down & return drive: After enjoying the view and resting a bit, we descend and return to the vehicle
2. Step 2

   9:30 am – Drop-off back at your accommodation: You'll arrive just in time to freshen up and continue your day — with a memory and photo you'll never forget!
