    Christ the Redeemer:

    • A global icon of Rio de Janeiro, located atop Corcovado Mountain (710 m). This 30-meter statue is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the platform looks out over the city, the bays and the rainforest
  2. Step 2

    Santa Teresa:

    • A bohemian hilltop neighborhood of cobblestone streets and colonial houses. Great spot for cultural walks, photos, and local cafes
  3. Step 3

    Selarón Steps (Lapa):

    • This world-famous staircase is decorated with over 2,000 tiles from 60+ countries, created by artist Jorge Selarón. Color, creativity and cultural expression in one place
  4. Step 4

    Metropolitan Cathedral:

    • A modern, conical cathedral with towering stained-glass windows in spiral form. Built in the 1960s, its unique geometric design and light-filled interior are striking
  5. Step 5

    Sambadrome & Maracanã Stadium:

    • Sambadrome: Stage of Rio’s legendary Carnival parade, designed by Oscar Niemeyer, with capacity for over 70,000 people.
    • Maracanã: one of the biggest stadiums in the world. You can view it from the outside or choose the optional ticket to go inside.
  6. Step 6

    Tijuca Forest:

    • The largest urban rainforest in the world. A lush tropical ecosystem within the city, full of waterfalls, hiking trails, and native wildlife.
