Itinerary

How the day runs

  1. Step 1

Leaving the city of Ushuaia, heading southwest, we will travel along National Route No. 3 towards Tierra del Fuego National Park. After crossing the Río Pipo Bridge, next to the Ushuaia Golf Club, we will arrive at the station of the Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino.

    • The Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino begins its journey from the End of the World station, following the same embankment that was once traveled by prisoners 100 years ago.
    • The train continues its route, following the course of the Río Pipo, passing through areas where it is possible to observe the traces left by the prisoners’ actions.
    • The train ride ends at the «Parque» station, where our guide will be waiting to continue the visit to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Important: The direction of the train route may vary depending on operational reasons and train availability; however, this does not affect the points visited.
    • We continue along the path surrounded by Lenga forests and peat bogs, reaching Lake Acigami (formerly Roca), framed by mountains and forests, where it is possible to spot native bird species.
    • At Lapataia Bay, we will have time to walk along the boardwalk, from which we can take photographs and enjoy the feeling of being at the end of the world.
    • From this point, the end of National Route No. 3, we will begin our return to the city of Ushuaia.
