Step 1
Navigation through Beagle Channel to the Lighthouse:
- We begin our navigation departing from the Tourist Dock in our city towards Beagle Channel. As we move away, we enjoy a panoramic view of the Ushuaia coastline. Soon, we spot the most important buildings: the Maritime Museum (old prison), the End of the World Museum, the industrial area, and the Olivia and Five Brothers mountains.
- We head towards the Bridges Islands where we make a stop and descend at Karelo Island. The walk on this visit is not difficult and is accessible to anyone.
- We sail southwest, approaching Sea Lion Island, where, from the boat, we can enjoy a view of sea lions, observing their permanent habitat in a wonderful setting.
- Continuing the navigation through Beagle Channel to the Lighthouse, we head towards Bird Island, home to Magellanic cormorants and Imperial cormorants, and a privileged area to spot marine bird species.
- We continue towards Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, located on the archipelago of the same name, where the ship Monte Cervantes sank in 1930.
- After enjoying the navigation through Beagle Channel to the Lighthouse, we begin our return.
- The return will be through Paso Chico, passing by the Túnel and Fique Estancias, returning to Ushuaia with a view of the imposing backdrop formed by Mount Martial and its glacier.
