A full day at Estancia Don Silvano: empanadas, a traditional asado, a folk show and a gaucho skills display.
Estancia Don Silvano is a full-day trip into the Pampas, the flat countryside around Buenos Aires where Argentina’s gaucho traditions come from. The day runs from a welcome of empanadas and drinks through a traditional asado lunch, with wine, beer and soft drinks included.
After lunch, a folk music and dance show — tango, chacarera, zamba and malambo — leads into a gaucho skills display: sortija races, horse taming and vareo de tropilla, a herd of horses driven past the crowd. The day ends with a merienda of mate cocido, homemade pastries and cake before the drive back to the city.
