This walk covers the historic centre of Buenos Aires on foot: the monuments and avenues around Plaza de Mayo, and some of the city’s most recognisable cafés and buildings.
The route runs from the Metropolitan Cathedral through Plaza de Mayo, past the La Prensa building, Café Tortoni and Palacio Barolo to Plaza Congreso, ending with a traditional merienda at Los 36 Billares or a similar bar on Avenida de Mayo: two medialunas and a coffee or soft drink.
