Step 1
07:30 - Pick up The tour starts by picking up from your hotel accommodation at 7:30
- Tastil Village: A historic pre-Incan settlement and archaeological site that gives insight into ancient Andean cultures
- San Antonio de los Cobres: A high-altitude town located at over 3,700 meters above sea level, known for its traditional culture and as a stop on the famous Tren a las Nubes (Train to the Clouds). Stop here for a lunch break
- Ruta 40 Crossing: travel along Route 40, one of the longest roads in the world, through desert and salt flat.
- Salinas Grandes: The highlight of the tour, this vast high-altitude salt flat stretches across the border of Salta and Jujuy. Its bright white surface runs to the horizon, which is the thing people come to photograph. Take amazing pictures and explore the area!
- Purmamarca & the Hill of Seven Colors: the town of Purmamarca, at the base of the Cerro de los Siete Colores, a mountain of banded rock in seven colors.
