Best of Calafate Glaciers 5 Day Tour Package
Calafate
In short
Patagonia is not one destination. The north is lakes and forest around Bariloche; the south is ice and steppe around El Calafate and El Chaltén; the far south is Ushuaia. Pick one per four days, or fly between them with a week.
The distances are the thing nobody plans for. Bariloche to El Calafate is a three-hour flight, not a drive. Trying to see the lake district and the glaciers in four days means two of them are spent in airports.
Our Patagonia products are built as four-day blocks for that reason: one region, done properly, with the transfers and park entrances included. Two blocks and an internal flight is the honest one-week trip.
Season matters more here than anywhere else in Argentina. November and March are the sweet spot — long days, thinner crowds, fair prices. June to August much of the trekking infrastructure closes and Bariloche turns into a ski destination instead.
Per person, including hotels, transfers and the guided days each trip lists. International flights are never included.

November and March: long days, thinner crowds and fair prices. December to February is warmest but busiest; June to August much of the trekking infrastructure closes.
Four per region. Four days gets you the glaciers around El Calafate or the lakes around Bariloche properly. A week and an internal flight gets you both.
Technically, over about 1,600 km of Ruta 40. In practice nobody does it on a two-week trip — it is a three-hour flight and the road is the holiday, not the transfer.
