How the day runs

Step 1
Pick-up at your accommodation in El Chaltén (optional if guided)
- Short drive along Route 41 bordering the Río de las Vueltas
- Stop 1: Chorrillo del Salto – Arrival at the parking area (15-minute drive) – Easy walk (10–15 minutes) to the waterfall – Free time to enjoy and take photos
- Return to town and arrival at the Park Visitors Center.
- Stop 2: Mirador de los Cóndores – Start of the hike (trailhead at park entrance) – 45-minute moderate ascent to the viewpoint – Panoramic view of El Chaltén, the Fitz Roy massif, and Río de las Vueltas – Possibility of spotting condors and eagles – 30-minute descent
- Optional stop at the viewpoint platform or visitor center exhibition
- Return to accommodation or end of the tour

Know before you go
- Both trails are open year-round, although snow or ice may affect accessibility in winter (May–Sept)
- Chorrillo del Salto can also be reached by bike or vehicle; there’s a bike lane along Route 41
- These two circuits are ideal for those with limited hiking ability
- The Mirador de los Cóndores is one of the best spots for photography, especially at sunset or on clear days
