The Sillar Route goes out of Arequipa, to where the city itself came from. You travel to the Añashuayco Quarry, where the cliffs of volcanic ashlar stone are the origin of the “White City.” Learn how this unique volcanic rock has shaped Arequipa’s architecture for centuries and watch skilled stonemasons keeping the tradition alive. Along the way, a stop at the Mirador de Zamacola, in front of the Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu volcanoes.

    Culebrillas Ravine

    • 20-minute walk through a narrow canyon with walls up to 20 meters high, formed naturally by water erosion

    Wari Petroglyphs & Apachetas
