A small-group walk up to Humantay Lake, under the Nevado Humantay.
It begins early, with a 2-hour drive to the town of Mollepata. On the way it passes through Poroy and Limatambo.
Upon arrival in Mollepata (2,790 meters above sea level), the small group will share a delicious breakfast before continuing to the Soraypampa base camp (3,910 meters). From here, we start an invigorating 1.5-hour hike ascending to the incredible and radiant Huamantay Lake (4,200 meters).
This is where the photographs get taken, above turquoise water. Nevado Humantay (5,450 meters) fills the horizon. Our professional guide will share fascinating insights about this magnificent natural wonder.
On the way back, we descend to Soraypampa and explore the sacred path toward Nevado del Salkantay (6,271 meters), the second highest peak in the Cusco region, rich in cultural and natural significance. After a well-deserved lunch, we board our transport for a relaxing return trip to Cusco
