Itinerary

How the day runs

  1. Step 1

    Early pick-up from hotels in El Calafate and scenic transfer to Punta Bandera port

    • Departure by catamaran along the North Arm of Lake Argentino, navigating through Boca del Diablo toward the Upsala and Spegazzini Channels
    • Sights of major ice formations and glaciers: Upsala (largest), Seco, Heim Sur, Peineta, and the towering Spegazzini
    • Disembark at Spegazzini Base and trek along accessible forest paths and 350 m boardwalks to the Spegazzini Refuge and Agostini viewpoint
    • Lunch or optional gastronomic experience inside the refuge (available with premium upgrade)
    • Return boat ride to Punta Bandera, followed by transfer back to El Calafate

Know before you go

  • Suitable for all ages. If you book the transfer to the port, pick-up times vary by area, between 7:00 and 7:30 am. Arrival in El Calafate is from 5:00 pm. ⏱ Boarding: 8:30 am ⏱ Departure: 9:00 am ⏱ Return to the Port: 4:00 pm
  • The navigation includes the North Arm, panoramic views of the Upsala Glacier, and sights of the Seco, Heim, Peineta, and Spegazzini glaciers. Service available in Regular or Captain’s Club.
  • Regarding food and beverages, this depends on each tour. If not included, you are welcome to bring your own lunch box or snacks. At Perito Moreno Glacier and Spegazzini Glacier, there are restaurant and snack bar facilities available inside the park.
