Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Day 1: Arrival to Cusco

    • Optional airport transfer to your accommodation in Cusco
  2. Day 2

    Day 2: Cusco

    • Hotel Pickup: for hotels located in the historic center of Cusco.
    • Visit the famous Qoricancha, once the most important temple in the Inca Empire, later transformed into the Convent of Santo Domingo by the Spanish. Inca stonework with colonial building on top of it.
    • Explore Sacsayhuamán, an impressive Inca fortress known for its enormous stone walls and panoramic views of Cusco.
    • Discover the ceremonial site of Qenqo, believed to be used for rituals and sacrifices, featuring carved rock channels and underground passages.
    • Stop at Puca Pucará, a small fortress with reddish stone walls, likely used as a military outpost and resting place for Inca travelers.
    • Visit Tambomachay, also known as the “Inca Baths”, where water still flows through finely carved aqueducts and fountains, likely used for ritual purification.
    • End the tour with a comfortable return to the city.
  3. Day 3

    Day 3: Sacred Valley of the Incas

    • Early morning pick-up from your hotel or accommodation in the center of Cusco to start the journey.
    • Visit to the Chinchero Textile Interpretation Center and discover traditional Andean weaving techniques and the cultural significance of textiles in the highlands at this interactive center in Chinchero.
    • Explore the fascinating circular terraces of Moray, an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory believed to have been used to experiment with different crops and microclimates.
    • Walk thorugh the Salt Mines of the Maras Community, see the thousands of salt pans carved into the mountainside, where salt extraction has been practiced since Inca times.
    • Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in Urubamba, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and traditional flavors.
    • Discover the impressive Inca fortress and town of Ollantaytambo, known for its massive stone terraces and strategic location.
    • The archaeological site of Pisaq, its Inca ruins, and the craft market in the town below.
    • After a full day of exploring, return comfortably to your hotel in Cusco.
  4. Day 4

    Day 4: Humantay Lake

    • Early morning pick-up from your hotel or accommodation in the center of Cusco to start the journey.
    • Bus through the Andes to Mollepata, where the trek starts, with a stop for breakfast and a short rest.
    • Reach the Soraypampa base camp, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
    • Begin the ascent on rough trail towards the turquoise lake.
    • Enjoy free time to take photos and appreciate the crystal-clear waters while your guide shares stories and facts about the lake.
    • Descend back to the Soraypampa camp, board transport to Mollepata, and enjoy a traditional included lunch before returning to Cusco.
    • Bus back from Mollepata to Cusco through the Andean valleys.
  5. Day 5

    Day 5: Rainbow Mountain

    • Start your adventure with an early morning pickup from your hotel or accommodation in Cusco’s city center.
    • Travel by bus through the scenic Andean landscapes toward the district of Cusipata and njoy a delicious breakfast and take a short break before continuing the journey.
    • Arrival at Phulawasipata, where the hike to Rainbow Mountain starts, then the trek up to Vinicunca.
    • Explore Rainbow Mountain with time for photographs while enjoying an informative explanation about the area from your guide.
    • Return hike to Phulawasipata and continue on to Cusipata, where you will enjoy a traditional lunch and a well-deserved rest.
    • Depart by bus to Cusco after lunch, arriving in the city for drop-off and the end of the tour.
  6. Day 6

    Day 6: Departure

    • Departure airport transfer available, you will be able to select it at the time of checkout
